Dr. Chiraag S. Patel specializes in rare immune disorders, extreme forms of allergic disease, and severe asthma.
Dr. Patel completed his fellowship in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, one of only eight Ivy League institutions. After his fellowship, training was done at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, a top 10 hospital. Next, he completed Pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the No. 1 ranked children’s hospital in the U.S.
He completed his residency at Case Western Reserve University Hospital and his medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
On a personal note, Dr. Patel grew up in Roseville when it was a town of just 10,000 people before leaving for the East coast, where he spent 13 years in school and training. Dr. Patel graduated from Jesuit High School and then completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis. He is married to Dr. Breanna Winder-Patel who also completed her training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and now works at the M.I.N.D. Institute specializing in autism and anxiety disorders. He enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring local wineries.
